Performance/Stage Rallies

These volunteer opportunities are for the Trout Lake Rally on September 17/18.

The help we receive from our team of volunteers on the day of a rally is essential to a successful event. It is very much appreciated by organizers and competitors. BAC is currently looking for people to help with some specific roles:

  1. We are looking for an Apprentice Coordinator. This person will eventually spearhead the coordination of all the activities required to organize an event. They will be supported by the Performance Rally Committee (PRC) and another volunteer who handles event administration. This person will attend PRC meetings.
  2. Waiver Control. Everyone involved in a rally must complete a waiver. We are looking for someone to lead this important part of an event. You would a located at rally HQ for the full duration of the event and ensure that all participants have completed the Speedwaiver process, have been given and wear a wristband and fulfilled any current COVID requirements.
  3. Registrar. The registrar receives and manages team entries before the event and registers teams at rally HQ on the day of the event. The registrar checks that teams have completed all the required forms and gives them the documentation they need to compete (i.e. route books etc.).

Navigational Rallies

Bluenose Rally – Aug. 14

Currently, we need 5 checkpoint (CP) crews for this traditional BAC regional rally. CP crews must be mobile and able to follow written directions to a specific point along the rally route. Once in place, they record the time a rally car arrives at their CP, write down the time on the team’s time card and assign a time out.

CPs can be staffed by one person or a family – it’s a great way to get out into the countryside, see some sights, learn more about navigational rallying, and meet some of the competitors.

Full training will be provided – all you need is a desire to help out and a method of getting to the CP location. Drop us a line at info(at)bluenoseautosport.ca if you’re interested!
