FAQs

Rallycross had its origins at the Lydden Hill Circuit in England in 1967. That first event was won by F1 and Rallye Monte Carlo driver Vic Elford in a dealer-provided Porsche 911. Today, professional rallycross is an international motorsport using very powerful, four-wheel-drive autos (some of them ex-WRC rally cars) around closed mixed-surface courses. The BAC’s rallycross program utilizes two gravel-based sites – the Stewiacke Mud Slingers area in Stewiacke and Atlantic Motorsport Park just west of Shubenacadie, NS.

Our rallycross events are open to any type of automobile (which adhere to the ARMS and BAC rules) and we welcome new competitors, series competitors as well as stage rally drivers looking to keep their skills sharp during the off-season.

BAC’s Rallycross events are typically held between November and March each year, although in 2022 we are excited to introduce a summer series! Our current locations are: Middle Stewiacke Mud Slingers (SMS) and Atlantic Motorsport Park (AMP). See Supplementary Regulations for more details and directions.
